About Us

Having served six years in the Royal Navy and currently serving as a Frontline Firefighter and Fire Service Senior PT, Jez has over twelve years of experience as a fitness professional and is qualified to work with anyone from as young as 5 years old.

Founded in 2015, JA Fitness has gone from strength to strength building an ever increasing and diverse membership group. 

We welcome all age ranges and abilities because outdoor fitness training is suitable for everyone. JA Fitness prides itself on being a friendly, all inclusive group where every member is equally valued.

With years of experience to call upon Jez's classes are challenging to all fitness levels, varied and above all else safe, effective and fun! The focus of every session is to coach the correct form and technique thus minimising the risk of injury and to achieve the best results for every participant.

Outdoor functional training is at the core of our business so at any given session you can expect to use:

  • Functional movements are movements based on real-world situational biomechanics. For example,  getting up from a chair, carrying shopping, running and walking etc. They usually involve multi-planar, multi-joint movements which place demand on the body's core musculature and innervation.

What better way to spend a long weekend in the UK than heading off to our luxury fitness and yoga retreat for some well-deserved TLC? You’ll completely disconnect from the madness of modern life, indulge in some fresh air and green space, deepen your fitness knowledge and yoga practice or even kick-start a brand new regime. Give yourself that much needed injection of quality nutrition, fitness, yoga, rest and relaxation and feel like you’ve had a brand new lease of life. 

Our retreats are all at the same fabulous, exclusive and meticulously handcrafted Cotswold barn location, complete with outdoor wood fired hot-tub, nestled in around 200 acres of breathtaking landscape. 


The fitness element will be conducted by Jez and will include functional outdoor workouts, runs, walks, fitness education, competitions and lots of fun and laughs along the way!


The Yoga element will be conducted by the amazing world class yoga teacher and instructor, Grace Farmer. 

Her expertise and Yoga CV is phenomenal and I'm absolutely thrilled that she is going to be working with us. 'Grace Fully Movement and Yoga' will take you through a combination of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. In addition to that she’ll also be guiding you through meditation, mindfulness, myofascial release techniques and breath work. 

Grace is currently working in Berlin after teaching new yoga instructors at the Kranti Yoga School in Goa where she has taught for many years. Grace also teaches and runs retreats at The Yoga Bubble in Southern Spain www.theyogabubble.com



Delicious and nutritious!

Mel, my super talented partner and best buddy is also part of the JA Fitness team. Mel will be making sure you never go hungry by creating and crafting deliciously healthy vegetarian and non-vegetarian feasts. 

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, refreshments and snacks will be provided everyday. The food will of course compliment the exercise and will be high quality, super-fresh, seasonal and locally sourced. 

Mel trained at www.leiths.com Leith’s School of Food and Wine before working in restaurants in both London and France. She then went on to join the teaching team at Leith’s before the children took over all of her time!

Resting!

The retreat is limited to a maximum of 16 guests on each of the weekends and is based on 2 people sharing a luxury en-suite twin/double room. 


Prices and Booking Terms

The price for this amazing 3 night Luxury retreat is just £595 per person based on two sharing a beautiful en-suite twin/double.

To secure a booking a non-refundable deposit of £295 is required. The remaining balance of £300 is then payable no later than 8 weeks before the date of your chosen retreat. If booking within 8 weeks of your chosen retreat then the full amount is payable at that time without exception.
